Pawsitive Pet Care’s Policies & Procedures

An initial, in-home meet & greet is provided prior to services. At this visit, we will meet you and your pet, answer any questions and obtain detailed care instructions. Key exchange and any necessary paperwork will also be picked up/completed at this time.

Hours of Operation
Home visits take place between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. seven days a week. Office hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

However, we realize that emergencies do occur. Please feel free to contact the office at any time if you are need of last minute pet care. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Inclement Weather
Dog walks are “weather permitting”. In the interest of safety of your pet and our pet specialists, inclement weather may necessitate a potty break with indoor play as a substitute.

New Clients: Payment up front for all new client services

Vacation Care: Payment in full; required at time of reservation.

Daily Services or Lunch Visits: Weekly payments are accepted for these services and due the beginning of each week. First weekly payment is due in full at the time of reservation.

Pet Taxi: Payment in full; required at time of service / delivery.


Refunds & Cancellations
Pet Sitting and Overnight Care: A seven (7) day cancellation notice is required for full refund. Less than (7) seven days will result in a 100% charge for reserved dates.

Please be sure to finalize your travel dates prior to making arrangements with your sitter to avoid any cancellation fees.

Dog Walking Cancellation Notice: For the efficiency of our staff, a 24-hour cancellation notice prior to services rendered is required.


Key Pick-Up / Return
Key pick-up should be done at time of initial consultation. We keep your our clients key on file for future services. Pawsitive Pet Care uses our own tagging system with no identifying markers.  If a separate visit is required for key pick up or drop off, there will be a $15.00 charge.

A premium of $10.00 per visit is charged for service on all major holidays:

  • Easter Sunday
  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year’s Eve
  • New Year’s Day
